Anything to do with joins/orders (especially tables with large text fields) are calculated incorrectly by the query optimizer. I have already submitted a dataset and schema to allow them to test on a real world situation so hopefully this will yield positive results.
follow my emails with subject --> Joins: Qry optimizer still terrible -----Original Message----- From: Arsen Pereymer [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 2004 1:54 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MaxDB Peformance issue Hi, Does anyone have any experience in performance on the below MaxDB version: MaxDB Version: 7.5.00.11 OS: Win32 We transfered several large MS-SQL tables (average table contains 1Million rows) to the above MaxDB database. Apparantly when creating a New table based on joins with the large tables, the INSERT takes over 45 minutes. While this same insert on MS-SQL takes less then 5 minutes. Auto-log writting has been shut off. Is there a difference in performance as far as running maxdb on Win32 versus a linux environment? Thank you.
