If you still want to do it by yourself, be prepared to search through
the net for some solutions for general issues, which are not mc related.
Maybe there is someone on Mac here on the list, who could assist better?

access to bug-related things, like in debian. Also vlc developers make reviews

I've just registered on the mc's trac. After filling a new ticket and clicking
on "Create ticket" I get: "Submission rejected as potential spam (StopForumSpam
says this is spam (username))". My username (ag) hasn't been rejected while
registering, thus it should be considered as legal. So h
