In Total Commander there is a very handy feature: with backspace you
can quickly jump to the parent directory. It'd be nice if this feature
were added to MC too. If the bottom command line is empty and
backspace is pressed, it could be interpreted this way.

I upgraded my mc from source to 4.8.1.3 and it behaves a bit
differently. When I open mc from a directory, this current directory
is shown in the left panel. Since previous versions opened the current
folder on the right side, it feels awkward now. I always focus on the
right side :)

I installed the new Ubuntu (11.04) today and I noticed that Unity
redefines F10, thus quitting from mc is not that easy anymore. Now I'm
using ESC + 0, but F10 would be better.
Do you know how to get back F10 in Unity? I haven't found it yet.

This is my first post here. Today I upgraded my system and mc was
upgraded too to version 4.7.0. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.
My problem is that the colors have changed since version 4.6.2. Now
file/dir highlights don't work, everything is gray. I would like to
see my directories in white,
