okay on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
Warning-level glitches in build:
CCLD seems always to end with warning ar: `u' modifier ignored since `D' is
the default (see `U')
Building vfs:

You could tie a script to the F2 menu.
The Unix sort command sorts a file. See also uniq sed
Most of what I do inside MC is done by scripts added to the user menu or
local menu.
