exiting mc

I'm running SuSe 9.0 and when I exit MC with F10.I return to my home directory. Under Red Hat when I exit MC with F10 it is the last directory I was in, in MC..can I make MC under SuSe 9.0 behave the same way and if so how? I do not want to return to my user home directory when exiting
