The symlink command (C-x s) by default pre-fills the name of the
selected file on one side on the folder of the other side.
The hard link command (C-x l) behaves differently, it does not
pre-fill any name. I suppose that the only way to have the hard link
command pre-fill the name similar to the
Midnight Commander is slow to start for me on two PCs (one very new
and the other 6 years old). I am running Fedora 18 64 bits. I already
filed an issue in the Red Hat bugzilla. I was thinking that somebody
in this forum might spot easily what is wrong? I am pasting below my
