I think slang/README should be updated or rewritten. Something like: This is the S-Lang library, version 1.4.5. It has been modified a little to make it work with the Midnight Commander. The complete distribution can be downloaded from: http://space.mit.edu/~davis/slang/ ftp://ftp.jedsoft.org
