*Data Architect*
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 8 months
Local candidates only
*Note- we are looking for a data architect not an application architect.*
The data architect is responsible for making sure an organization's
strategic goals are optimized through the use of enterprise data standards.
Responsible for the conceptual, logical, and physical modeling of the
Enterprise Data Warehouse / Data Mart environments. Will regularly interact
with various development teams, project manager, business analysts, and
end-users.
This Data Architect will look horizontally across the 5 blues and assist in
design and collaboration to create one system from the disparate systems.
Therefore they MUST have a strong data background.
MUST HAVES:
· Healthcare background
· Strong data architecture background
· At least 5 years of data architecture experience
· Have worked in a distributed DB2, Data Stage, Cognos
DataWarehouse environment
· Able to work collaboratively and provide guidance to developers
· Experienced in analyzing, defining, and documenting data
requirements from existing applications.
· Able to identify and define data sourcing, business rules, and
transformation logic for next phases of the project and capable of
facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and one-on-one
interviews.
· Excellent Communication skills
NICE TO HAVES:
· Teradata experience
· Taking initiative to solve complex problems with an outside in
perspective with innovative solutions
· Lead functional teams or projects
· Communicating the value of and the specific content of the
defined architecture
