Please go through the below job description and let me know of your interest so that we can proceed further. *Title: *Liferay Architect *Location:* Atlanta GA (60% travel to the location, 40% remote) *Duration:* *Contract / Contract to Hire* *Interview Type:* Phone, & Skype or F2F *Experience:* Total 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of Liferay experience *Position Description:* The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect client-side Web based solutions by mapping common customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and architecture is a must. · Understanding of enterprise architecture, preferably in the context of highly scalable, clustered Java web applications using Liferay · Understanding of Liferay architecture and the components on which it is based *Responsibilities:* · Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle · Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives · Implement architecture by building components and custom designs; prototyping; data migration; maintaining technical integrity and consistency; documenting system · Design and implement Liferay-based web frameworks, libraries, or accelerators to be used as value-added product offerings · Manage customer relationship by communicating Liferay architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues · Recommend Liferay-based solutions, based upon existing products and/or custom work · Establishing architectural and development standards around Liferay · Validate system performance by developing and conducting test scripts; completing bug fixes *Required Skills/* *Qualifications:* · 10+ years experience in IT · 5+ years of experience working with Liferay with atleast 3 years on architecting / designing solutions on Liferay platform · 3 + years of experience working with WSRP, SOA, REST, Java Spring MVC Framework, HTML, JS, CSS · Experience with JSR 168, JSR 286, in particular is critical · 5+ years in application architecture/enterprise architecture, systems integration and development, package implementation · Proven leadership and managerial skills to independently manage teams, during multiple phases of the project lifecycle · Strong skills to effectively interface with client executives · Good business analysis/redesign skills with architecture and implementation experience · Requirements analysis, conceptual, logical and detailed design skills · Configuration planning, testing, change management and support experience · Project management with complex projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously · Knowledge of Web architectures including portals, application servers, security, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and .Net technologies is a plus · Knowledge of relational database technologies and data access patterns and frameworks is a plus · BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field · Exposure to other portal platforms like Vignette, Weblogic Portal, JBoss Portal, Websphere Portal · Experience with software development methodologies (SDLC, agile, etc.) and supporting technologies (bug tracking, source control, change and configuration management, etc.) *Other Skills (desired): * Demonstrated consulting skills, including client relationships and team facilitation Well-developed organizational and interpersonal communications skills General understanding of the business environment, models and motivations Excellent verbal and written communication skills, such as meeting facilitation, presentation and documentation Have strong collaboration and influencing skills Project management experience is a plus Consulting experience with a large multi-national is a plus Work experience in the Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, Communication industries is a plus. Work with the Liferay community on open source extensions to the core product *Travel:* Ability to apply for a visa – no prior visa rejections.
