* * *Skills:* - *Programming languages: * - R - SQL - Python or Java (preferred) - Significant mathematical and statistical expertise including: - Multivariate calculus - Linear algebra - Hypothesis testing - Bayesian methods (preferred) - Experience with machine learning techniques including: - Decision trees/random forests - Regularized and non-parametric regression - Neural networks/ support vector machines - Time series forecasting methods (ARIMA, ARCH/GARCH) (preferred) - Construction of marketing models (preferred) Education: B.S. or equivalent in mathematics, engineering, or computer science M.S. in quantitative field (engineering, computational biology, etc) preferred Ideal candidate would have experience bringing machine learning and statistical methods to bear solving business problems, preferably in the realm of consumer marketing. Candidate would be responsible for constructing direct marketing targeting models, as well as supporting the development of ad hoc analytic efforts as they arise. Ability to code in R and SQL is a must, as is comfort with calculus and linear algebra. Knowledge of Bayesian methods, time series models, and knowledge of additional general purpose programming languages is preferred but not required for this position.
