Job Title: Midlevel Java Developer Location: Columbus, OH Duration:Long Term Contract Rate: $45/hr on C2C Must be able to pass a background check MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ·70% Coding of new software applications and/or the modification of existing software applications. This will entail the review and understanding of project scope, requirements, project design and the I.T development life cycle. ·20% Analysis (scope and requirements) and Design. At the Senior D\A position, the individual will also have involvement with requirements gathering, documenting requirements and design creation. This may include leading (guiding and mentoring) a team of developers in the design phase. ·10% Interaction\communication with business users and team members. The Senior D\A will be required to communicate with business users regarding requirements, design reviews and prototype presentations. Additional supporting information: •May participate in technical design for projects. •May provide technical assistance with environment setup\configuration. •Review prototypes. •Will be involved with several projects at one time in regards to design and support. •Assist in technical direction for the project and ensure technical quality of the code delivered. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Technical: Excellent knowledge and considerable development experience with one or more of the following: - Grails and Groovy (these can be substituted for work experience with CSS and JQuery, as they have a similar framework and are close technically) - JAVA - EJB All developers should have experience with Enterprise Java Bean (EJB) technology, stateless / non-stateless session beans, etc. - SQL - RESTful Services - JSON Considerable experience with the following tools\technologies or equivalent: - Git - source code version control -HTML5 -Web UI/UX -WebSphere and Tomcat -Knowledge of relational database structure and design. Experience with Oracle databases is preferred. -Ability to create and modify SQL queries.
