*Job Description:*

*•     *Configuration Manager will define policies, procedures and plans
and enforce those procedures, policies and plans across development teams.

•     Configuration Manager will be responsible for driving continuous
improvements to the CM processes, working methods and tools of systems and
CM infrastructure support.

•     Configuration Manager will perform weekly reporting on the metrics
and project status and provide those reports to higher management.

•     Configuration Manager is responsible for implementing and managing
new congiguration management/version control systems, Build management
systems, code merging, baselining in different streams/branches and code
promotion in different environments.

•     Configuration Manager will attend Change Control Board (CCB)
meetings, update configuration tracking information, develop CCB agendas,
notify attendees of meetings, install, maintain and troubleshoot problems
related to action items/issues.

•     Configuration Manager will also be responsible for monitoring the
status of all Request for Changes (RFCs) and take the action accordingly.

•     Configuration Manager maintain internal relationship management
related to other team leads, project directors, development project teams,
and executive level management.

•     Configuration Manager Maintain external relationship management
related to software configuration vendors, products, installation, and
support.

•     Configuration Manager providing a structure/plan for identifying and
controlling source code, documentaion, interfaces, and databases to support
all life cycle phases.

•     Supporting a chosen development/maintenance methodology that fits the
requirements, standards, policies and organization.

•     Perform software builds including taking all source code files that
make up an application and compiling it into build artifacts such as
binaries or executable ensuring that this build process adheres to the
following best practices: automated, repeatable, reproducible, and is
adhered to.

•     Conduct promotion activities between environments once authorized by
the appropriate Government representative

•     Configuration Manager is responsible to Designing, creating and
maintaining CMDB.

•     Configuration Manager will maintain a Configuration Management
Database (CMDB) and all applicable system related documentation; will
implement approved changes to the infrastructure such as attributes and
relationships while performing audits to ensure snapshots are compliant
with approved IT infrastructure.

•     Record information and maintain about each CI in a Configuration
Record within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

•     Perform CMDB routine audits to identify process/procedure failures
and gaps.

•     Reviewing changes for technical impacts related to Configuration
Items (CIs)

*Mandatory Skills:*

Version control tools (ClearCase, Subversion,  Perforce,  GIT, Rational
Team Concert,  Microsoft Foundation Server etc..),  Junkins, Hudson, Perl,
Shell script, python, ANT,  Maven,  Oracle,  CMDB tools (Servicenow, BMC
Atrium CMDB, OneCMDB  etc...),  SQL Server,  Windows, UNIX,  Linux


*Nice to have skills*

•     ITIL Knowledge
•     Understand Java/.Net coding and troubleshooting experience
•     Defect Management tools knowledge
•     Other version control tools experience
•     Application server knowledge (Websphere/Weblogic)
