*Title:* *Java/Selenium - QA Positions* posted on 2013-07-23 10:32:09 *Job Description:*Java/Selenium - QA Positions Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN Long Term Need Only local to Minneapolis, MN Need US Citizens , GC and HIB Description: Candidate is expected to be self directed with the ability to identify appropriate implementation solutions and complete test implementation with minimal guidance. Agile experience and strong communication skills (verbal and written) are a plus. Also, Mobile experience in both the iOS and Android platforms are a plus. In this role, you will help coordinate and participate in the testing of multiple native and web-based mobile applications in both the iOS and Android platforms. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for testing of enterprise application projects • Test native and web-based applications on iOS and Android operating systems • Develop and execute manual and automated tests in different platforms using Java, and the Selenium library • Partner with software development staff to resolve application bugs and test upcoming application releases. • Actively participate in Iteration Planning, Stand-ups, and Team Retrospectives • Develop software-testing artifacts within an agile process • Develop and actively participate in build test automation using Java, and/or other technologies • Create and manage software quality assessments; including anticipating project needs and implication of project decisions on quality • Proactively work to identify, clarify, and resolve issues; remove barriers within and outside the organization in a timely manner • Proactively share knowledge on best practices for testing software and act as a consultant across all the software development and testing groups Minimum Qualifications • A four-year degree in Computer Science or other related field • 1-3 years of software testing and/or software development experience • 2+ years of Java programming experience • 1+ year experience automating tests using Selenium and WebDriver • Software testing and/or software development experience working with enterprise applications developed using various technologies (J2EE, REST, Endpoint Dev/Testing, AJAX, etc.) • Knowledge and/or experience with the software tools and techniques used in automated testing • Experience with large-scale projects including intra-departmental communication and collaboration • Collaborative leadership style and a strong commitment to continuous improvement • Willing to be on-call about once every three months (Saturday afternoon). Qualification Rating Programming Languages Java 3 (Moderately Strong) of 5 (Expert) and 2+ Yrs. Java Script 2 (Limited Experience) of 5 (Expert) and 1+ Yrs. Programming Technologies XML 0 (No Familiarity) of 5 (Expert) and 1+ Yrs. Work Related Years Experience Years of Experience * 2+ Yrs. This position is to test a Web Based - Web Forms project. Testing that the forms (correct forms) come up on the website that a lawyer would use to access these forms. We are only looking for 1 - 3 years experience. Top 3 must have skills are: 1. Java Development Experience (some) 2. Some Testing experience 3. Comfortable in Agile environment 3.5. REST is preferred for some end pnt testing Top 3 Nice to have skills are 1.
