Title: Senior Build/ Release Engineer posted on 2014-10-08 17:11:42 Job Description:*POSITION 1:**Senior Build/ Release Engineer* *Point : Senior Build/ Release Engineer * *Location : Minneapolis, MN* *Duration : FULL TIME* Non locals are fine & Only USC/GC *Responsibilities:* *As the Senior Build/ Release Engineer* you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Development and Operations organizations to implement the necessary tools and process to support the automation of builds, deployments, testing and infrastructure (infrastructure as code). This will include assessing and implementing robust monitoring, alerting and logging tools, automating application builds, deployments, testing and the automation of environment build out. We are looking for a self-starter, able to take personal responsibility for getting the job done. As the Build/ Release Engineer you will handle the duties for a cloud-based product serving as the technical liaison between Operations, Development, SQA, and Configuration Management. You will lead the effort to resolve issues, implement solutions, provide guidance to members of the product team. This is a hands-on role that will provide you with responsibility for both implementation and support of the product through the entire software development life cycle focusing primarily on the implementation pieces related to environment, configuration, and those that span Operations and Technology. *Required Education & Experience:* - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar discipline required - 6-8 years of software development, Systems Engineer or Release Engineer experience - Experience with systems architecture and systems administration - Expertise in JBoss, Java, Test Automation, Deployment Automation, Performance Monitoring - Experience with Provisioning tools such as: Chef/Puppet/Vagrant/UDeploy (Chef/Puppet) is a MUST - Experience with DevOps practices and cloud computing - Deep scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Ruby (or other scripting languages in a primarily Windows environment) - Experience interacting with applications through RESTful interfaces - 3-5 years’ experience with administration or configuration of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools.
