Job Functions: - Cognos Developer - Interact with business customers and BSAs to define requirements - Experience with Cognos Metrics Studio - Experience with Cognos admin and migrations. - Follow DTNA development methodology - Excellent Communication Basic Qualification: - Cognos developer - Candidate must have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Cognos development. - Experience in Cognos 10 (Reports Studio, FM, Transformer and other Studios), - Strong Knowledge in SQL is mandatory, - Strong DB2 database , Data Modeling, Experience with TM1 is prefered - Experience with DB2 LUW, MF DB2 and SQL Server databases desirable - Ability to work closely with senior level business managers to derive requirements. - A general understanding of OLAP tools and experience with informatica is required. - The candidate should also have experience in custom legacy systems integration and integration of multiple data sources, Data modeling experience will also be added advantage. - Ability to quickly prototype solutions and estimate cost of developing short and long-term solutions. - Above average communication skills (both oral and written). A working knowledge of the automotive industry desirable, knowledge of the heavy duty truck manufacturing business is preferred. - Professionalism, strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment are essential. - Documentation and mentoring skills in both BI best practices and technical knowledge is required. - Must have a proven track record in meeting budget and schedule for tasks while still meeting or exceeding business requirements and goals.
