5 years experience as a Data Analyst

In lieu of degree, 7 years experience as a Data Analyst





*Skills Desired*

Experience in data integration and/or data warehousing preferred (Ab Initio
primary ETL tool)

Experience in migrating data from one system or platform to another
preferred

Experience in Health Care preferred

Experience working on a Teradata platform preferred

Some knowledge of SAS for analytics and extracts; star schema/dimensional
modeling; consulting/solution negotiation experience



Ability to apply advanced SQL skills required

Ability to interpret and correct analysis performed by others

Ability to analyze and resolve highly complex problems

*Job Description*



Analyzes data brought into the data warehouse from transactional system and
vendor extracts. In addition, this role will work with the business and
data stewards to identify and document business rules that need to be
applied to this extracted data. Document source and table specifications to
be used by ETL developers and Quality Assurance Analysts in the
construction phase of a project. Revises and/or creates new data
integration related standards that are compliant with industry standard.



*Major Job Functions/Components *



• Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency of Data Analyst tasks to
facilitate completion of projects within the allocated time and budget.

• Assists the Data Integration Architects in the determination of
Enterprise Information Model entity and attribute definitions to ensure the
accuracy of the data model in relation to the business terminology.

• Revises existing data integration related standards or creates new
standards that are current and compliant with various industry standards.

• Signs-off on Data Integration Analyst peer reviewed documents to maintain
quality and to comply with standards.

• Provides project-specific Data Integration Analyst coordination to serve
as the single point of contact and eliminate redundancy.

• Interfaces with the Project Manager and ISDS Management on smaller
projects when assigned to ensure resources needed to move through the
Service Development Life Cycle process.

• Mentors and provides input to performance reviews of Data Integration
Analyst I’s and II’s to achieve a consistent review process.

• Assists the Project Manager in developing the project schedule as it
relates to Data Integration Analyst activities, dependencies and timelines
to facilitate accurate project schedules.

• Participates in project risk assessment to identify potential obstacles
ahead of time.

• Accountable for Data Integration Analyst related deliverables and
responsible for the deliverable’s quality.
