UNIX/LINUX Puppet Administrator Location: Washington, DC
Duration: Long Term Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent, with Minimum of 7-9 years of experience. Ideal candidate must have worked in high performance, highly complex deployment environments and done hands on Dev Ops automation for Capital Markets, Mortgatges or Financial Services area. Hands on skills in Scripting in Linux/Unix You must have done Deployment Automation for applications using scripts or tools like Puppet, Chef or Salt Experience in running and managing Continuous Integration environments Familiar with Monitoring and Data Visualization tools Hands on experience in Build Automation and Release Management You must have worked hands on with Build repositories like Archiva or Nexus You must have worked hands on with Build tools like ANT, Maven and Jenkins Experience in deploying Java and Non-Java applications Exposure to Nginx, ApacheWebServer, Tomcat or Red Hat TC Server You must undderstand protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP Must be able to work independently and make recommendations Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail. Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
