*Position: Sr. Network Security EngineersLocation: CVolo, IL or Rolling Meadows, IL Openings: 3Duration: 6 months plus extensions Interview: hire off 30 minute PI Thursday and FridayStart: NEXT WEEK!* *Must haves* This role is a true *Checkpoint Engineer*- need to have proven and senior level skills with Checkpoint rules and managing firewalls. *Tufin* is used for reporting and helping create rules- need to have experience with Tufin orchestration suite Client currently is on *Checkpoint R75*- need to have R75 or at least R65 experience Experience with advanced rule base design and global objects Analyze firewall rules to categorize/ prioritize the rules and recommend remediation action plans based on client application types and Domain boundary environment Review TuFin zero-use rules to identify rules that can be removed and work with the appropriate client teams to get those rules removed Review TuFin partial- shadows rules and recommend best course of action to reduce shadowed rules Review clients server/ systems configuration and make recommendations as to best locations for each system based on client target state domain boundary architecture ** Most important aside from technical skill set is communication and willingness/ability to work well in a small group- this is an Agile Framework environment where this resource will be heavily involved with pods, storyboarding, and communicating daily with the team in the agile infrastructure shop** *Plusses * *Blue Coat Web Proxy *experience is a big big plus- will set a candidate apart from others! *Role:*Provide It network security engineering for new innovations, project design, and standards development. Ensures adherence to defined Network engineering processes and identifies and helps influence platforms strategic direction in coordination with business user’s needs and directions. *Responsibilities include *Enterprise network security strategy, solutions, and ongoing technology refreshes and enhancements Enterprise network security design standards Design reviews and project engineering Acquisitions integration of network security services Technology integration point with other client engineering towers to provide strategic solutions Feasibility engagements with business groups to ensure integrated network strategies are incorporated early in the process Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior personnel Implement engineering.
