International UDC Seminar 2013 entitled "Classification & Visualization: Interfaces to Knowledge" will take place on Thursday 24 - Friday 25 October in the National Library of the Netherlands (Koninklijke Bibliotheek), The Hague Conference website: http://seminar.udcc.org/2013. The objective of this conference is to explore cutting edge advances and techniques in the visualization of knowledge across various fields of application and their potential impact on developments in the more main stream bibliographic and documentary classifications. The conference will be opened by Emer. Prof. W. Boyd Rayward, well-known historian of the international organization of knowledge and the history of documentation and information science. His keynote address will set the scene for discussions on models and metaphors of knowledge and information visualization that bridge historical and technological perspectives.
