can use Toast in a similar fashion; drag'n'drop the
tracks and press Record and that's it.
I imagine that it's not much more complicated on Windows.

USB is really slow. I'm too tired to quite figure out what 4x
recording speed would require, but I could imagine that it'd be more
than USB can give.
