I'm having a bit of a problem when I move MDs between my Sony MZ-R37, and
the Sony DHC MD5 - for some strange reason, one treats MDs created by the
other as blank.
Any ideas as to why this would happen?
Cheers,

Hi!
Strange things are afoot with my two Sony decks... I've just finished
recording a stack of sound bites on my MZ-R37, and when I took it over to
the MD5, it said that the MD was blank... and when I put it back in the

Look, just a quick question - I was at a meeting tonight, and a fellow
there wanted to make short films, and was looking for a portable sound
recording source. I offered to lend him my Sony MZ-R37, and he said that
"MD sounds like shit, it's no good for recording audio for film
Evening, All!
Is there a chain of shops in Japan that specialise in second hand
electronics? A mate of mine's off to there on Saturday, and he's keen to
pick up some cheap, reliable MD gear to bring back to Australia, so any
prompt advice would be very handy!
Cheers,
Stuart
