Hi everyone! Maybe some of you remember my report on hooking up an SB Live! Player 1024 to a Pioneer receiver using a TOSLink cable and the special Digital Output Module from Creative. I complained to them about the output volume on the digital out being low (had to turn the volume on my amp to something like -45 dB instead of -65 dB), and got this response from their tech support today. As it says, the problem (at least under Windows 2000 Professional) is with the drivers, so hopefully this issue will be resolved pretty soon. The drivers I'm referring to are the stand-alone drivers for the Live! series of cards under Windows 2000. >Date: Wed, 19 Jul 2000 14:03:37 +0100 >From: "Creative Labs European Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subject: RE:Low volume from Digital Output Module [#246848] >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > >Dear customer, > >The reason that this is happening is because our drivers do not fully >support the Digital out on the card at the moment.
