I've enjoyed MD for about 2-3 years now, I've had car MD changers (8 MDs in dash), many Sony portables, MD desktops, and the Sony MDS-PC1 PC to MD deck. MD was best for the car, for portable and to use with the PC. I love this format BUT my friends won't buy it, no one I know can share MD music easily with me, everyone has CD. I've never embraced pre-recorded CDs at all, but my new car has an integrated audio system (steering wheel control etc) with CD changer and I don't want to tear it out. So I've gone CDR for the car. No, not as good as MD. Now I only use MD for my walkman. I used to archive music to MD now I do it to my hard drive instead. MD will never be a mainstream format, esp with mp3 and other new digital music formats. But MD was the coolest, greatest re-recordable audio format ever sold to consumers. Using it with the computer was really great. I miss it in my new car already. Just as the coolest new MD items are coming out I'm using it less and less. I have a new black Sony MZ-R90 and it's cool to see the design improvements the last 3 years. If Sony had tried to drop the prices earlier it may have captured more of the US market. Most people are quite pleased with their CDs. If they only knew! ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
