Alexandre, You are right. The iMic ( about US$35.00 ) does the opposite, but you must have System 9.04 or better to have it work properly. If you want to use it for Pro Tools, then you must have System 9.1 or better, as the Apple Audio Extension will have the updated USB drivers. If you're using the iMic with the iBook, there have been some internal USB power distribution problems that have caused some clicks in recording into the iBook, but Apple is fixing this problem, and should service your iBook to upgrade this problem. The iMic is a great little device. Worth every penny. There's software to control it as well. The program is handy but you don't have to have it for the iMic Adapter to work.
