Yes, if you tell it to. By default it orders by date added to the
category; you need to specify ordermethod:

In a version 1.15.3 wiki, I am trying to set up a custom group that can
protect/unprotect pages.
I use the following statements in the LocalSettings.php file.

All extension files are to be saved on extension directory and called trough
require_once on localsettings.php
