Edit the file LocalSettings.php in the installation directory and add this line
at the end:
require_once('extensions/Gadgets/Gadgets.php');

So I think it's really kool, that during installation of MediaWiki 1.19.2 you
can choose to install some
extensions by Default. I selected ParserFunctions and Renameusr, for instance.
The first time around, I had not selected (checked) Gadgets, but now I would
like to add it.
