Just to close the loop on this. I had to get the admin at the webhost to recompile the luasandbox code using a newer toolchain. They created a VM with a newer toolchain but the same version of PHP and rebuit luasandbox. Here's the steps: # phpize Configuring for: PHP Api Version: 201004
