How can one get a unique device uid in meego which can be easily read from an
application. Does anything in the MeeGo SDK provide that?

I created the 1.0.80.13.20100803.2 raw file using the mic-image-creator command
as in http://forum.meego.com/showpost.php?p=6580&postcount=90 on Fedora 13.
Then I wrote it to a 8GB ssd mmc card using the following:
dd bs=4069
if=meego-handset-armv5tel-n900-nokia-proprietary-1.0.80.13.20
I created the image myself from the kistart file from the daily build
meego-handset-armv7l-n900-1.0.80.11.20100720, and used the corresponding
vmlinuz file, and flashed the phone, and it booted (not using QEMU), but got a
bash command line only. No UX. I tried to type startx but nothing happened
If anyone has been able to successfully install Qt-recordmydesktop on MeeGo
1.0.8 (any build), I would really appreciate it if you can share how you did
that.
