Maybe I didn't make my point clearly. This is a problem with the 3D
modeling, I don't make any claims one way or another regarding the
behavior of the 2D model.

Using the centered waveguide (guide-z=0) I obtained omega_1(1.7047,0,0) =
0.645161 after 3 iters (n_eff = 2.6); while for an offset waveguide
(guide-z=1) the obtained result was: omega_1(0.935484,0,0) = 0.645161 after
2 iters

I have a simple question, in the example of local density of states , the
Gaussian source is used. I want to plot the graph of amplitude versus
frequency of the source. I mean I want to see the profile of the source. How
can I see it ? please guide me.
