Dear Prof. Steven and meep users!
I would like to ask you about the Amplitude in (run-k-points ...) simulation.
What I want to say...
If I do the simulation of light propagation in 2D structure (planar dielectric
waveguide) with the cw source,
I set the amplitude A, for example, and I can obtai
Dear Peng,
have you tried to start meep not from matlab environment but from ubuntu's
shell which you prefer to use?
And have you installed meep from debian's repository or compiled it by
yourself?

Alexandr.

Dear Liu,
I suppose you can consider the nonlinearity as
a some addition intermediate step in FDTD algorithm.
So the amplitude of signal does'n affect the epsilon tensor (or epsilon value),
just when we compute D field from E field (maybe vice-versa, E from D, I don't
know exactly),
we use so
dear, David,
maybe there aren't symmetrical TM modes in your geometry.

Thank you, Prof. Steven.

Brian, what does the start-up pulse mean?
Maybe you shoud increase your computational time
in order to skip the transient process.
Try to explain your problem more detailed in other case.

Thank you, Prof. Steven!
I just tried to compute band gap diagram for 2d periodical structure, with

nonlinear Shroedinger equations.
So I want to see how the cut-off frequencies changes with the amplitude gets

Dear Prof. Steven and dear meep users.
I do appreciate if you can help me with understanding

Dear Matti, I suppose you can use the exmples from meep tutorial pages,
and you have to carefully read about PML conception in meep, if you
did'n do any similar computation with FDTD formerly, because the simulation
of the antennas system is the simulation of open system I suppose.
Matti, try to
Hello, dear Meep Users, Prof. Steven and Dr.Paul.Kinsler.
I've thought about our previous discussion devoted to frequency-dependent
components
of epsilon (or mu) tensor.

Hello! Dear Prof. Steven and Meep Users.
Now I'm trying to set the specific material type using
meep ctl interface (not C++).
I consider the carbon tube, which has the different
dielectric response function depending on the electric
field being polarized along or perpendicular to tube's
axis.
Hello, dear Meep Users.
First of all I would like to thank Dr. Paul Kinsler for answer on my previous
letter.
I suppose I will restate and reformulate my last message to mailing list.
Let me explain my message to meep-discuss list.
In the case of material dispersion I have to

Dear Meep Users, Prof. Steven and Matthew Miskiewicz!
Thank you, Matthew, for the answer to my question.
I've studied you letter in which you answered to Jian,
but for my problem it is not a solution.
Let me try to explain:
you offer me to use epsilon-func but I've understood that it is a functi

Dear Steven and meep users,
first of all I'would like to thank you
for the recently arising activity in this

that I did not understand the flux computation

Dear Sanchit,
I suppose, there will be not only one frequency in
the flux spectrum when you are using CW source, even
if you don't use the (width ...) parameter in you ctl

is the same I suppose). Without ctl file or source code

Dear Feng,
try to output field components not only at the end of computation time

I woul like to ask you about flux computation

Dear colleagues,
I would like to find the dispersion
