Dear meep users/developers,
has anyone made experience simulating a negative Kerr Coefficient n2? Is it
theoretically possible to do that?
I am simulating CW FWM, it works nicely for positive n2.
However, when I use negative values in 1D simulations, I see spatial
periodicities which are much
Hello,
I have a 2D Photonic Crystal simulation, which runs perfectly and stops
after about 20 minutes as expected.
However, as soon as I am adding this line:
(define pump0 (add-flux fpump 0 1 (make flux-region (center 0 0 0) (size 0 0
0) (direction X
the simulation stops after magnificent
I forgot to mention one thing.
After adding this line it suddenly takes twice the time for set_epsilon.
I have a symmetry defined, can this be an issue?

I appologize for the SPAM!
Indeed, if I place this line after setting the symmetry everything is
alright. I wasn't aware of that.
Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello,
I am simulating a continuous source which I switch off after time T=100.
Over this time I am using the add-flux fluntion to obtain the spectrum.
Theoretically, the spectrum should show equidistant nodes, the distance
between them being df=1/(2T).
However, looking at the output, the
. index had been increased
My question now is:
- has the physical E also decreased by that factor or does possibly the
E-monitor show a value that scales inversely with the refr. index?
I would be very grateful for your response

there be a series of numbers, one for each time step? Such that I
get the flux at all times.
This is how I am using the command:
(define test
(flux-in-box Z (volume (center 0 0 0) (size 0 0 0
I would be very grateful for your help.
Thank you very much.
