Hi meep discussion,

I am trying to calculate the phase of my E field inside a waveguide and i was
wondering if i can get some input. I am not sure if i am doing this correctly
since my phase diagrams are not matching my calculations. I decided to go back
to a waveguide i know the phase for, a rectangular waveguide with dimensions
of 7.1 mm x 3.5 mm.

I am taking the E field at the center of the waveguide. Then computing the fft
of the field. Taking the argument of the complex values from the fft should
give me the phase of my E field at varying frequencies.

The field inside the waveguide i assumed to be E*sin(-j*B*t) +
E*gamma*sin(j*b*t). E field in the y direction and the wave traveling in the
direction

Thank you,
Tenner Lee
