Multi Get

It seems that memcached does not comply with the memcached protocol
regarding multi gets. In particular it seems that given a series of
getq it will respond to them without being uncorked by a non quiet
command. Am I correct that this is the implemented behavior? And if so
do you know of any clients which expect the correct behavior.
