What does the options -b means

Hi all: I'm running the memcached 1.2.4 version, and it has one option -b, -brun a managed instanced (mnemonic: buckets) I'm not sure what is means and the purpose using this option. Can anybody explain it or tell me whether there is document explaining it. Thanks a lot.
