I added a memcached/engine-pu branch on github as a place to help us see snapshots of the state of development of the storage engine branch.
This branch is unstable by any possible definition of the word. It will likely be rewritten frequently as we put this work together. The primary reason for this branch's existence is to aid in the support of our CI system for ensuring this work will run on all platforms we're supporting. The delta is large enough that passing around large patches from master simply doesn't work. This makes things much happier. :) If you are working on the engine branch and using buildbot for trial runs, change your try_branch to 'core/engine-pu' and everything should work as you expect.
