Yes, but I don't remember that any particular tricks
were necessary. A pair of pipe wrenches may or may not
have been involved. (This was before I started keeping
good notes.) I know that I did NOT remove either the

sizes. Ob
Mine was loose enough to slip without turning the nut. In fact, the 90 124

shaft back. I also could not get it loose in the car, and had to pry the
shaft out, then loosened it with two pipe wrenches and two long pieces of

Hmmm Strap wrench might work if the nut is not too tight.
I sure prefer working on Diesels. 110 is still the easiest to work on,

Have not been able to figure a way to get it loose, thus the question
about what size wrench it takes in the prior post. I don't think there
is enough room to get a pipe wrench in there on a 107. If I had a flame
wrench and some 1/4" steel, I could probably make a slim wrench to fit.

Have you unclamped the front drive shaft? There is a very large
clamp nut under the rubber boot just in front of the carrier
bearing. We use two pipe wrenches. Once loose, the front part of
the driveshaft will slide back into the rear half enough to let you
take the flex disk out.
