1985 380SL Trans suddenly won't shift out of low. Fluid was a
little low. Engine also seems to be idling fast, but that may or may
not be related to the trans problem, and I am not sure of the
sequence of events.

Buy it, install your 240D shocks, and drive it until you find a $500
Even fuel injected, a 230E is unlikely to ever hit 20 mpg unless it's highway
and downhill all the way. These were not terribly efficient cars for their

I know nothing about the suspension geometry, so intend to get my indie
