I just checked the EPA mileage books, they show 300E manual and auto in 1986, 260E and 300E, both auto only, in 1987, and they have both engines with both transmissions in 1988. From 1989 onward, I just see the automatics. Did MBNA certify the 260E and 300E with 5sp in 1988 and then not sell
