Congrats! Also look for worn suspension. If the rear wheels lean in at the
top, price in replacing the control arms.
Problem 1 is usually easy.
Problem 2 is a new one, I'd suspect the stalk.
Agree on 3.
4 is easy too.
AC might be pricey!

1. a window motor out: How difficult is S124 window motor
replacement? The replacement motor is included with the sale.
Who diagnosed it? Motor is most reliable part of the system,
before that come switch, regulator, and hinge wire problems.
No real difficulty change, unless it's the switch.

I haven't seen it, but I think it's on how to get a tach-equipped
Nippondenso cross-pollinated into the MB. The W116 most likely
uses a GM R4 or A6 compressor. You'll find those over in the
Chevy part of the junkyard!

Yeah it's a GM. What's the "modification" that lets you use a standard

Purge is for cleaning up the engine and IP. you set it up to bypass the tank,
suck from the can, goes through the IP, injectors and out the last injector
back into the can or jar.

I'd say change the fluid and filter, use M1 ATF, and let that work for 10k
miles. That cleaned up / improved my wagons transmission behavior immensely.

If the fluid you drain is in really bad shape, consider doing a few changes
with cheap ATF on 1-2k mile intervals before you use M1. That's only if you
can drain the torque converter too. On that car you can.

More to the point, before you install new AC parts, get a filter
