I'm here, just troubleshooting cruise control this morning. Replaced amp
yesterday, but now, while working, it seems super sensitive while maintaining
speed. I did notice that the firewall grommet for the speedo cable is
brokenhmmm.

Is there a way to remove the plastic from the chrome?
My car has good chrome but a badly cracked plastic part on the passenger
side.
I bought a pair of these on ebay but unfortunately, the chrome is not as
good as those that I already have.

Randy,
Any way you can post pictures? I had a 114 that I replaced headlight trim on (I
think) but I don't recall the details. If I could see one I know I would
remember.

In a worst case senario, you could probably dissolve the bad plastic out of
the good rim, and cut the pitted rim off of the bad plastic - YMMV. No,
I've never done that ---

1. I will put them on photobucket and add a link.
2. The plastic part is relatively loose. I can wiggle it a bit. I just
don't know if it is intended to be removable or if it is not.
If it is, there must be some trick to it. It there is not, then I need
to figure out how to do it without

Interesting hes having trouble selling it. Interior looks a bit rough, but
would probably clean up. California is a funny place for old cars.
I'm more of a barn find kinda guy... something not running, needing a tow
truck, low miles, low owners, and high risk. The longer sitting the better!

Wilton reminds me of my cousin. Both entered the military as enlisted men,
both became officers, both were good story tellers, etc.
Cousin was an army air corp logistics officer stationed in Britain during

Yeah, its the same M110, but with a carburetor instead of injection. Its a
great engine, but I like the fuel injected version more. If I had my
choice of the carbureted engines, I'd take the 250C with its M130 and twin
zeniths.

I had a 1970 250C silver with black leather, with a sun roof. Great looking
car, bought it in 1977 for 3k. But it too had rocker rot that finally killed
it. I wish I had the money then to fix it. Sigh.

I won't use lithium for anything for the above reasons. I use moly
