After Curly helped me figure out wiring I am about ready to tackle
my next wiring adventure. When we moved into the house the wife
bought a used hot tub which runs on either 110 or 220. There is a
large 220 outlet in the garage that is labeled welder in the breaker
box and is on a 40 amp fuse
I like that idea. Here is my other problem. In 1 of the rooms there is
not wiring to the ceiling They have track light installed which simply
plugs into a wall outlet that is controlled by the wall switch. Would
eventually like to run wire to ceiling to install fan/lighting the
proper way.
+1
Get the fans with remote controls to turn them on/off/speeds/lights
and you can just use one regular power feed. I put in some, they
work well, and you can either have a handheld remote or one that
goes in a wall box that sends the signal to the fan over the power
wire. Look on build.com
Yes, I have figured that out, which right now there is not. I am
figuring on putting the sub panel inside the garage, which would be just
inside the back door from the tub. Its either that or locate it outside
on the other end of the porch. You would think this electrician would
know that.
According to the plan, I will be parting out an SDL. The front
windshield appears new, Pilkington. Rear is not de-laminated.
Window glass is good. Good hood, rear axle/subframe, trunk lid,
roof, interior stuff, sunroof parts, 8 hole wheels, or I could keep
them and sell 15 hole wheels, more.
Interesting story

Note: You are required by code to have a safety disconnect at the tub, but
far enough away from the tub that someone can not stand in the water and
energize the tub.. Make sense?
So, think sub panel with disconnect [fuse pull or lever].

PS I also have expanded my knowledge enough to figure out this hot tub
is a death trap. The thing is supposed to be on a GFCI breaker and it
is not. I would image that could lead to frying. At the VERY least I
need to swap out that 40 amp breaker for a 20 amp GFCI breaker for 110
