Yes changing mine in 300CD made a world of difference in shifting &
hesitating. It still has trainny issues but followed Dr. FRED'S RX. Take
a fill of M1 ATF & call me in 10k miles. Downshift chunks disappeared & 3-4
up shift flaring about gone. Still hesitates going into reverse so not
ready ye
Lot of money for that. I just bought an 93 300D for $800 that
runs and drives nice. It doesn't look as good on the outside,
needs a paint job, but no rust. Does need a bit of sorting out on
the windows and possible minor front end work, steering damper or
idler bushing. Still not too bad.

I'm figuring no one is going to buy that with a bad tranny, wonder if it
would be worth offering a few $hundred and see if he would take it.
Might be a relatively easy fix, or maybe a new tranny? Could get a
junker tranny and see if that would work? Or I have a pretty good one
in the old TD I

Found this on Ebay. According to the form supplied by the seller, the turbo
head might fit and work if the bolt pattern was the same.
