Yeah, I thought that was odd too, but I quoted it from the museum
facilbuch page. Probably written by a 20 yr old intern who never
lived then MB letters had meanings E = einspritz = fuel injection
(gasoline)
That e class thing really did not come about until the major name
changing of 94.

Before 1994, I believe that E meant injection, or einspritzung.
Since then, it's meant Executive Class.

Our 86 SDL does not have one. Our 90 SEL does. I do not know
if it is powered or not, I believe it is mechanical but

Could you find one at a knacker? Is there anything different about an
