The GenRad calls the ESR rating "Q". I look at that,
and the rated capacitance. The Heathkit IT-28 is responsible
for the leakage test, and is the only one that puts significant
voltage on the cap. I always start there, and if it passes that
test then I'll throw it on one of the good bridge test

TIG has the control needed to weld thin materials [with welding skills] As
always, aluminum must be super clean at the time of the weld, gas envelop
needs to be managed properly, and condition and shape of tungsten tip in
the torch is critical to control weld puddle size and co

It's a very passable TIG unit. It doesn't have anything close to the

AFAIK all VW diesels from '99.5 on have timing belt driven water pumps. To
replace the belt and pump you have to tilt the engine up on one side (well the
Golf and Jetta anyway, Passat has an inline engine) which ruins the motor

Hey Max,
The thing that hit me when I bought a MIG welder was "Man, with
some thought and planning I can create stuff." It just struck me as one
of those moments when possibilities are endless.
What I'd love to have now is a TIG welder. It seems their prices
have come down a bit too. D
