Vacuum operated, which was standard on Nash/AMC up to 64 or so. Definitely our 1960 Rambler had vacuum operated wipers. I didn’t know the V8 was available in the ’66, that was the smaller body version. After 1968 they got larger and the 327 was not only a strong engine, but very reliable
