Selling only because it convinced me to quit buying MBZ...
Sometimes it's best not to bring motives into the discussion.

even laminate my repair/maintenance receipts." would have sounded a lot
better. "I'm ready for something

I was able to clean up the tank of my NSU with gravel and acetone... it
worked surprisingly well, but took time and my upper body was sore for a
few days afterwards. It takes a lot of strength to shake a big fuel tank
with gravel in it.
My first stop would be a radiator shop. I've since found on

I didn't know they made a GL.
I always thought of Maybach as big boat sedans.

I wonder why they’re advertising it in Gainesville, of all places, when it
appears to be in SoCal? Spamming CL?
I don’t see central Florida as being a market for something like this, unless
they’re trying to target the owners of the horse farms.

What does your disposable income need to be before you can drive a
$250,000 +- car in rush hour traffic and expose yourself and the car to the
"highly skilled and mostly careful" driver class of distracted commuters
along your route of travel?
Asking for a friend... ;))

If you own a Maybach you can afford a (professional) driver. What’s the point
of having one if you can’t enjoy the rear seating?

It's not really clear to me why I would want a $250k GLS, even all
tarted up. For that kind of money I would rather have a selection of
high-performance Benzes with some coin left over for maintenance.
Others might have different perspectives I guess.

Good point. Probably a SoCal thing.
I would rather have an S-class style of car if I was going with a Maybach
rather than a crossover/SUV.

Reminds me I need to go pull a trans from a 164 at LKQ to swap into this

Agreed. For what it’s worth, he’s in an upscale old rich white guy
neighborhood, so that might have some bearing on the mindset when it comes to
pricing. I would deduct $$ for the wheels.

A new one from autohausaz is $110 but AliExpress has one for $31. I think I’ll
try a cheepcheepchinee part. I’ve ordered some other stuff from AliExpress
vendors and they mostly haven’t been too bad.

Who says the plugs are fouled? I didn't see that in the ad. Anyway, sellers
often have zero clue what they are talking about when they try to describe
mechanical problems.

Can't make out the decal on the driver's door.

At certain speeds, especially when accelerating, I hear a rattle/buzz under the

that and it all seems firmly fixed in place. Doesn't really happen reving the
