[MBZ] 99 210 with 1234 shfiter stuck in park

I need to move my 99 wagon. So I put a battery in it, turned the key to run, put my foot on the brake, and it wouldn't leave Park. Also wouldn't try to crank. Took the battery out after a few minutes, checked it before putting it on a charger and it was at 12.7V, so I'd think it's charged.

Could be interesting if one had a parts car to swap bits over.  I'm wondering if the transmission got flooded and the conductor plate got fried.  I don't think there is much else down low that would keep it from shifting or starting.  Would be worth $300 to figure out something --FT On
