I believe they were bought out and their current stuff is not anything
special. My brother had a good friend who was an engineer for Marantz back
in the day. He picked out a tuner that tested nearly perfect which is now
in my brother's possession.

I also have a United Audio turntable. Can't recall but probably picked it
up for $10 at a yard sale. Seems to work OK. No idea of its true value.

I have a '70s vintage Marantz preamp that still sounded good last time I tried
it. Been sitting on a shelf for a while now though.
