bashed into something, or possibly several somethings, causing the mating

There is actually a fair amount of room in the last row, I wouldn't fit

Oh yeah, Crowdstrike have just about admitted that they screwed up, they've
already released a patch.
I just now realized that I have a bunch of actual systems in a lab that I need
for next week's class which I can't access. There is one I NEED to the point
where I cannot run class without it.
I’ll know in the morning.

That’s why I’m almost positive it’s something configuration related, rather
than something to do with signatures or Bad Actor stuff.
Once I know more I’ll report back.

The young fella called me and said he wasn’t expecting to get a call on it.
Labels himself a “Mercedes Enthusiast” and he was really surprised how good of
shape it’s in. Starts right up, drives, stops, “sounds right”. He said one of
his ham-handed underlings punched the hole in the grill.

In our situation is production services as it’s SaaS for our dealers. I did
hear something about individuals not able to login to their laptop but I never
had any issues with that.

That’s the beauty of running VMs for customer-facing applications like yours
that’s used for training. Spin up new ones each time, tear them down when
you’re done. Rinse, lather, repeat.
One bad thing for CrowdStrike out of this besides the obvious - now people know
what these companies are
Correct. CrowdStrike updates continuously, that is, it constantly “watches” the
environment, and when it sees a machine that isn’t up to date, it immediately
pushes a patch/update. However, if the client that resides on the machine is
borked, it’s got to be fixed manually, that is, by someone
I run 3 VM machines for every student for every class. This week there are 5
students plus me, so 18 VMs. We're required to have Crowdstrike on everything
bt I built the template that these VMs copy from all the way back in 2021
using an old version of Crowdstrike which apparently can't
I would add that because this appears to be linked to CrowdStrike and its
products, companies that don’t use it aren’t affected, which is why there is a
hodgepodge of companies that are and others that are not.
I definitely would not want to be one of CrowdStrike’s PR people right now - or
From our side supposedly there is some sort of manual fix that has to be
implemented. Not really sure but our stuff is starting to come back up now. At
least partially.

My former employer uses CrowdStrike. It’s a wonderful product and does a lot of
really geat things from a security standpoint. That said, it’s also heavily
embedded in the endpoints, so if something goes south, well, I guess today is a
good example.
As I understand it, there was an update or
And it’s a late model, too! 1998!

All of our systems our dealers use have been done all day due to a CrowdStrike
outage. The airlines were heavily affected. I’m flying as we speak just so far
everything has been on time.
