not only is it stronger, but you can get the same strength with less
material (weight) than no forged. That's why you can put a nice sticky tire
on a forged rim and not yet, still keep the rim light. Probably have to pay
a couple of thousand per rim, but quality doesn't come cheap. S&W had an ad
